| Welcome to the 2009 demo website for SportsFan.com's NFL Survivor Pool websites. Each pool gets its own private and personalized survivor.sportsfan.com web address. The commissioner can customize the website style/colors/pictures/rules and add messages throughout the website.
Give it a test drive. The best way to evaluate the website is to use it.
Login as commissioner (click here) to see what it's like to run your own pool with us. After logging in, check out the red Admin menu at the top left of the website to see all of the options availabe to you. You should also try logging in as a regular player (click here) to see it from a typical user's perspective. When logged in as a player, You can make and change picks and see "members only" reports such as finances.
So many options. The commissioner controls many aspects of the pool rules, such as...
- Winners pool or Losers pool (try to pick the winner or loser?)
- Number of picks (1 or 2) to make each week (can differ by week)
- Number of bad picks (strikes) that cause elimination
- Whether or not to allow "buybacks"
- Whether or not to allow "insurance"
- Buyback restrictions (such as number allowed or weeks available)
- Number of times each team can be picked or picked against
- Weekly pick deadline
- Number of entries allowed per person
- Entry fee (where allowed by law)
- Option to assign default pick if pick is not made
- Option to use "Survivor Points" pool where the goal is to earn the most points

Features that help run your pool
- Determine what information is required to sign up (name, screen name, email address, etc.)
- Add a signup password to prevent uninvited participants
- Track player contacts, divide players into groups
- Track finances where permitted
- Upload your own pictures. Make your website personalized!
- Website tracks which teams can be picked so you don't have to
- Players submit their own picks online. No more last minute phone calls.
- Someone without internet access? Commissioner can make picks for everyone in the pool
- Your own commissioner email address that forwards to your real email
- Send email directly from the website
- Determine what content to appear throughout the website
